Tanulmányunkban egy olyan neuropszichológiai mérőeljárást mutatunk be, amely alkalmas a munkamemória életkori változásainak vizsgálatára és patológiáinak differenciált feltérképezésére. Ez a hallási mondatterjedelem (Listening Span) teszt, amely az egyik legtöbbet használt munkamemóriát mérő eljárás az angolszász nyelvterületen. Kutatócsoportunk elkészítette a teszt magyar nyelvű változatát, ezzel bővítve a magyar nyelven rendelkezésre álló munkamemóriát mérő tesztbattériát. A hallási mondatterjedelem teszt legnagyobb előnyei, hogy elődeinél szélesebb célcsoportokban alkalmazható, például olvasni nem vagy nehezen tudó populációknál is, valamint az olvasni tudó célcsoportoknál is objektívebb képet tud adni az emlékezeti kapacitásról, kiküszöbölve az olvasási képességekben mutatkozó egyéni különbségeket. Emellett hasznos segédeszköz lehet tanulási nehézségek azonosításában és a neuropszichológiai diagnosztikában. Tanulmányunkban közzé tesszük a teljes hallási mondatterjedelem tesztet és a hozzá tartozó normatív adatokat.
