Ösztrogén hormonpótlás hatása a szubjektív jólétre és a kognitív funkciókra

A szervezet biológiai folyamataiba való gyógyászati beavatkozás célja az életminőség javítása, az egészség helyreállítása. Ebből adódóan kiemelt fontosságú a megfelelő indikációra épített beavatkozás megválasztása, a terápiás effektus többoldalú elemzése és az egészsé­ges életvitelt lehetővé tevő rehabilitáció megtervezése. A bemutatott összefoglaló kritikus áttekintést ad a menopauza időszakában az ösztrogén hormon hiányának következtében jelentkező tünetek kezelésekor alkalmazott hormonterápia szubjektív jólétre és kognitív tevékenységre gyakorolt hatásairól. Részletesen szólunk a hormonterápiát kísérő kognitív változások ellentmondásos természetéről, a nemi hormonok neuroprotektív hatásairól, a hormonális ciklus és a kognitív változások összefüggéseiről, a verbális memória és a téri képességek változásairól, a kontextus tanulás és a nemi hormonok viszonyáról, valamint kiemeljük azokat a alapvető tényezőket, melyeknek ismerete nélkülözhetetlen a hatékony interdiszciplináris team munkával irányított fejlesztő és rehabilitációs programok kialakításában.
