It is hardly necessary to emphasise how important role the Manipulation School played in making the discipline, we now call Translation Studies, acknowledged in the seventies-eighties. Translation in Systems provides a good overview of its history, leading figures, key concepts, and limitations, anddoes not try to cover all descriptive approaches, only this one.
