Jelen cikk arra vállalkozik, hogy bemutassa a budapesti történeti épületek homlokzatain található vakolóhabarcs-anyagok fő típusait, majd ezekhez hozzárendelje a magyarországi piacon fellelhető anyagok közül az esetleges helyreállításokkor alkalmazható megfelelő anyagokat és termékeket. Rövid áttekintést ad az ismert legfontosabb történeti habarcsanyagok rendszeréről és a homlokzatfelújításra vonatkoztatható műemléki elvekről, majd bemutatja és összegyűjti az egyes esetekben létező műszaki megoldásokat és az egyes anyagokhoz rendelhető termékeket. Az eredmények között bemutatjuk, hogy a jelenlegi piaci körülmények között az egyes korábban megállapított anyagkategóriák esetén hányféle termék jöhet szóba, valamint az egyes kategóriák között nagyjából milyen az egyes habarcsanyagtípusok eloszlása.
