A pancreascarcinoma praecursorainak tartott intraepithelialis neoplasia (PanIN1–3) és az intraductalis papillaris mucinosus neoplasia (IPMN) hisztopatológiailag és morfológiailag igen heterogén entitás, konzekvens osztályozásuk a közelmútban valósult meg. Áttekintjük a praecancerosisok klinikopatológiai és molekuláris genetikai jellemzőit, melyek az irodalmi adatok szerint egybevágnak az intraepithelialis és intraductalis neoplasiák noninvazív, noninfiltratív viselkedésével, és részben magyarázhatják a pancreas carcinomákétól eltérő, kitűnő prognózisukat.
