A szerzők egy személygépkocsi-balesetben multiplex traumát szenvedett 63 éves beteg esetét ismertetik, akinél többszörös mellkasi és medencefractura mellett, a bal rekeszfél rupturája, következményes csepleszherniatio lépett fel. Urgens sebészi beavatkozásra nem volt szükség. A betegen állapotának stabilizálását követően, a tizedik napon electiven, laparoscopos úton, rekeszreconstructiót végeztek. A szerzők a laparoscopos megoldás helyét és jogosultságát elemzik a traumás rekeszsérv ellátásában.
