Absztrakt
Kétrészes narratív összefoglalónk második részében a placebo-reakció és a személyiség állapot típusú jellemzői (személyes éntudatosítás, érzelmek, szorongás, motivációk) közötti kapcsolattal és a vonás-környezet interakciókkal kapcsolatos empirikus és elméleti eredményeket tekintjük át. A placebo-válasszal leggyakrabban kapcsolatba hozott két kompozit érzelem, a remény és a hit bizonyítottan egészségvédő hatású, ám számos jelenség magyarázatára nem alkalmas. Emellett az ok-okozatiság tekintetében is problémásnak tekinthető. A placebo számos vizsgálati eredmény szerint jól enyhíti a szorongásos panaszokat, illetve a magasabb szorongási szint többnyire fokozott placebo-reakciót jelez előre. Meglehetősen jól felderített a szorongás és az anticipált fájdalom kapcsolata. Meglepően keveset tudunk a placebo-reakció motivációs hátteréről. A javasolt lehetőségek közül a tünetek enyhülésének vágyát, az izoláció okozta szeparációs szorongást és az orvossal való együttműködés igényét tartjuk fontosnak. Az attribúciós és disszonancia redukciós kutatások áttekintése kapcsán eljutunk az énvédelemhez mint lehetséges általános háttérmotivációhoz. Mivel a homeosztázis fenntartása és a belső folyamatok szabályozása az énkép szerves részének tekinthető, a placebo-válasz egyfajta szalutogenikus mechanizmusként is felfogható, ami testi (objektív) és lelki (szubjektív) szinten párhuzamosan fejti ki a hatását.
