Abstract  

Three variants of oxygen determination differing in their programs of activation and measuring are presented. The high energetic β-radiation of16N produced by16O(n, p)16N was detected by a Cerenkov-counter with scintillator of Piacryl (Lucite). Standard deviation and sensitivity of the three variants were investigated. Sensitivity in interference free samples amounts to 4 000 counts/mg of oxygen and the threshold of detection to 10 μg of oxygen. If the contents of oxygen is more than 1 mg, the standard deviation will be 1.25%.
