Abstract

For improvement of radionuclidic purity of¹²³I a method was elaborated to obtain highly enriched [¹²³Te] tellurium. Using this new TeO₂ target the optimum irradiation conditions have been investigated for the production of¹²³I via¹²³Te (p,n)¹²³I and the radionuclide impurity levels were also determined.
