Abstract  

Neutron reflection method was used for the fast estimation of the neutron removal cross section in hydrogenous materials of simple composition. The accuracy of the measurement was about 8%. The method is rapid and reliable, but it is limited to hydrogenous materials with a low concentration of neutron absorbing elements.
