Abstract  

The extraction of ThBr4 with trioctylphosphine oxide solutions in cyclohexane has been investigated. It has been shown that the extracted species is the trisolvate ThBr4· 3TOPO and the corresponding concentration quotient has been calculated. The possibility of sepa ration uranium and thorium by extraction with TOPO in chloroform from bromide system has been discussed.
