Abstract

The distribution of Be between aqueous HCl solutions and organic phases of di-(2-ethyl hexyl)-phosphoric acid, has been described. The dependence of extraction on aqueous acidity, metal and extractant concentration as also on the diluent type, was thoroughly examined. The possible mechanism of extraction has been discussed in the light of results obtained.
