Abstract  

The molar excess enthalpiesHE for the water +N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone binary mixtures have been measured as functions of mole fraction at 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K, using isoperibol rotating calorimeter. A hydrogen bonding pairs model proposed by Luzar was fitted to the experimental dataHE,GE for the binary mixtures of water with hexamethylphosphoric triamide, N,N-dimethylformamide, N,N-dimethylacetamide and N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone.
