The terminology of regional economics from the economist's and the linguist's points of view

Summary

In the past decades several fields of economic sciences have been analysed from the terminological point of view but regional economics as a separate discipline has not been studied. Regional economics studies a wide variety of topics, including the migration of labour, the macroeconomic activity of cities and states, and the location choices of firms. This paper describes a part of ongoing research and its purpose is to analyse acronyms and key terms existing in the language of regional economics by overviewing textbooks on regional economics in three languages.
