Magyarországon elenyésző az 1-es típusú diabeteses fiatalok egészséggel összefüggő életminőség-vizsgálata a kor- és betegségspecifikus validált mérőműszer hiánya miatt. Célkitűzés: A Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory™ 3.0 Diabetes Modul kulturális adaptálása. Módszer: A kérdőív használhatóságának, belső megbízhatóságának, reprodukálhatóságának, konvergencia-, diszkriminancia-, valamint konkurenciavaliditásának vizsgálata 134 fő (8–18 éves) 1-es típusú cukorbeteg fiatalok és szüleik közreműködésével. Eredmények: A hiányzó válaszok alacsony átlagszázalék-értéke, a minimális padló- és közepes plafoneffektus alátámasztotta a mérőműszer megbízhatóságát. A Cronbach-α elérte a 0,70 belső megbízhatóságot jelölő értéket. A gyermekek és a szülők válasza erős kapcsolatot mutatott minden kérdéskörben. A mérőműszer különbséget tudott tenni az elfogadható és a rossz metabolikus kontrollal rendelkező betegek életminősége között. A Diabetes Modul közepes és erős kapcsolatot mutatott az Általános Modullal. Következtetések: Az eredmények a vizsgálómódszer használhatóságát, megbízhatóságát és érvényességét támasztják alá, de további vizsgálat szükséges ahhoz, hogy általánosítást tehessünk az egész hazai populációra.
