The importance of fine needle aspiration cytology in the management of recurrent and metastatic melanoma

A vékonytű-aspirációs citológia világszerte elfogadott, megbízható diagnosztikus módszer, amely segíti a korai diagnózist. Célkitűzés: Melanoma malignum miatt kezelés alatt álló betegek aspirációs citológiai vizsgálatainak minőségbiztosítási szempontú elemzése. Módszer: 142 beteg 194 aspirációs citológiai vizsgálati eredményét retrospektív vizsgálattal dolgozták fel. Eredmények: 138 (71,13%) kután, szubkután elváltozást, illetve 56 (28,87%) megnagyobbodott nyirokcsomót vizsgáltak. A 194 vizsgált mintából 87 (44,85%) valódi pozitív, 92 (47,42%) valódi negatív, három (1,55%) álpozitív és 12 (6,19%) álnegatív eredményt kaptak. A módszer szenzitivitása 87,89%-nak, specificitása 96,84%-nak, diagnosztikus biztonsága 93,72%-nak bizonyult. Következtetések: A szerzők megállapítják, hogy tanulmányukban a recidiváló és metasztatikus melanomák vékonytű-aspirációs citológiai vizsgálatainak minőségbiztosítása megfelel a nemzetközi elvárásoknak.
