Az összefoglaló közlemény a praeeclampsia patomechanizmusában szerepet játszó fontosabb tényezők alapján a megelőzés lehetőségeit ismerteti; az oxidatív hipotézisére alapozva több, az antioxidánsok hatását vizsgáló klinikai kutatást ismertet. Másik fontos tényező a nitrogén-monoxid aktivitásának megváltozása. A nitrogén-monoxid-donorok bizonyítottan képesek ellensúlyozni a praeeclampsia egyes tüneteit. A kalciumbevitel és a gestatiós hypertonia közötti fordított arányú összefüggés régóta ismert. A kalciumpótlás előnyös lehetőségnek tűnik a praeeclampsia kialakulásának megelőzésére. Az alacsony molekulasúlyú heparinokkal be tudunk avatkozni a praeeclampsiát okozó alapmechanizmusokba, antithrombocyta-hatásuk, vazoaktív tulajdonságaik és a trophoblastsejtek morfológiájára, differenciálódására kifejtett hatásuk révén. Thrombocytaaggregáció-gátlókat a tromboxán mediálta vasoconstrictio csökkentése és a placentalis thrombusképződés gátlása révén számos tanulmány vizsgált. Felmerül az alacsony molekulasúlyú heparinok és az alacsony dózisú aszpirin együttes alkalmazásának kedvező hatása is. Orv. Hetil., 2012, 153, 144–151.
