Tibor has been a member of the AKJournals team since 2013.

As the co-editor of a radiochemistry journal, one of his main duties is its scientific management, as part of which he receives the manuscripts, assigns them to peer-reviewers, publishes them, and sorts them into journal issues. He also keeps in touch with the authors, peer-reviewers, and guest editors of the journal, and promotes it at various scientific conferences.

Besides, he is responsible for the launch, management, and configuration of the journal submission and peer-review systems used at AKJournals. He takes part in the fine-tuning of the journal submission and peer-review platforms based on the editors’ needs, in the introduction of new functions and their integration, as well as in the coordination of any further system development.

He holds a PhD in Chemistry.

Nikoletta has worked at Akadémiai Kiadó as Managing, later as Senior Editor since April 2000.

Her portfolio includes the journals co-published by Springer Nature and Akadémiai Kiadó as well as a number of Akadémiai Kiadó’s self-published journals – their subject areas pertain mainly to chemistry, mathematics, applied and engineering sciences, biology, and architecture and architectonics.

She holds an MA degree in English from Eötvös Loránd University.

Orsolya joined the AKJournals team as Publishing Editor of the social sciences journals in March 2021.

Her portfolio encompasses the fields of psychology, education, economics, law, and security policy.

She holds two Master’s degrees, one in Hungarian Language and Literature, the other in Law. Following her university studies, previously, she worked as a journalist, copyeditor, and an editor primarily in the areas of wine trade and gastronomy. She has translated and edited several books.

Magdolna joined the Journal Publishing Branch of Akadémiai Kiadó as Publishing Editor in March 2020.

As part of her work, she manages the production of the arts and humanities journals – currently 14 of them. Considering the particularities of these scientific domains, she strives to assist our partners (editorial teams and authors) with a great deal of empathy in applying the newest and most modern journal publishing methods.

She is very passionate about the world of publishing; she considers the editorial work her calling. In her everyday work, she benefits from her knowledge in literature, linguistics, aesthetics, applied literary science, and drama pedagogy gained from attending the Faculty of Humanities of Eötvös Loránd University and the University of Theater and Film Arts. Throughout the past two decades, she has worked for several international and local publishers.

Zsuzsanna joined the AKJournals team as Publishing Editor in June 2021.

She is responsible for the publication of the medical and life sciences journals; she co-ordinates their production, co-operates with the editorial teams and suppliers. Her main objective is the modernization of workflows; she provides support to the editorial boards to achieve this. In her work with the Hungarian and English language journals, she profits from her previous professional experiences gained both as a customer service and a museum supervisor.

As a doctoral candidate at Eötvös Loránd University, she is writing her dissertation on the organizational history of the foundation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Currently, she is also a member of a Lendület research group and publishes reviews and scientific articles on topics related to 18–19th century theater and literary history.

Ildikó has been an intern in our team since Nov 2022.

She is to replace the Publishing Editor of the medical and life sciences portfolio on temporary leave.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Hungarian language and literature from Eötvös Loránd University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, specializing in Sociolinguistics. Her main research topic is the mental representation of proper nouns.
