-C-Pd films deposited directly on alumina substrates. Resistance of Nc-C-Pd samples was studied in hydrogen and the air atmosphere in an experimental set-up constructed in our laboratory. Measurements in hydrogen were performed at the room
intense research and development worldwide for many industrial branches, where reduction in weight of elements along with the improvement in specific modulus, strength, thermal stability, wear resistance, and service life are required [ 1 – 4 ]. One of the
Abstract
The influence of -radiation, upon elongation, resistance to tearing, module of elasticity, as well as upon the following electrical properties has been studied:
, tg
, and breakdown resistance, for various sorts of rubber.
POSS derivatives into polymeric materials can lead to substantial improvements in polymer properties including increases in service temperature [ 25 ], oxidation resistance [ 10 ], surface hardening [ 10 ] and mechanical properties [ 26 ] as well as
, ground thermal conductivity, and borehole thermal resistance values for all boreholes. Mogensen [ 1 ] first presented the TRT as a method to determine the in situ values of ground thermal conductivity and thermal resistance in borehole heat
heating step is defining the target pathogen’s heat resistance. While over-estimating the heat resistance negatively impacts the product quality by altering the organoleptic attributes and nutritional qualities of a food, under-estimating increases the
Introduction One of the ways to characterize the influence of the polymer structure on its useful properties, i.e., stability and resistance is the determination of the relaxation properties of the polymers. Synthesis and
forest fuel to be used in a heating. In the first place, the ‘resistance’ of a forest species to be degraded. In the second place, the maximum temperature that can tolerate (this is related to the energy that the different kinds of forest biomass can
Abstract
A novel DSC apparatus is based on resistance thermometers comprising two legs of a modified resistance bridge (Halas-Kamiński bridge) in which one resistor can be energized from an external source. Two metal spirals installed in a regulated oven are used as thermometers and sample holders. Two scans for 20 mg of NH4NO3 demonstrate the high sensitivity of this method.
, compared to active carbons, they have better mechanical resistance and allow to shape their hydrophobic–hydrophilic surface character [ 8 ]. A new method of synthesis and characterization of mesoporous carbonaceous materials was presented in the
