Abstract

We obtain the structure theorem for -Hopf bimodules over Hopf algebroids, where H is the total algebra of the Hopf algebroid . Based on this theorem, we investigate the structure theorem for comodule algebras over Hopf algebroids.

Abstract

We prove that the conjugate convolution operators can be used to calculate jumps for functions. Our results generalize the theorems established by He and Shi. Furthermore, by using Lukács and Móricz's idea, we solve an open question posed by Shi and Hu.

Abstract  

Combustion experiments of three typical seaweeds (Gracilaria cacalia, Enteromorpha clathrata and Laminaria japonica) have been studied using a DTA-60H Thermal Analyzer and the combustion processes and characteristics are studied. Thermogravimetric experiments are carried out on the samples with 0.18 mm particle size at the heating rate of 20°C min−1. The results indicate that the ignition mode of seaweed is homogeneous and the combustion process is composed of dehydration, the pyrolysis and combustion of volatile, transition stage, the combustion of char as well as the reaction at high temperature. And the combustion characteristic parameters are obtained such as ignition temperature, maximum rate of combustion, burnout temperature etc. The combustion models of these seaweeds are also analyzed. The combustion characteristics and model differences between the seaweed and woody biomass are caused by the differences of volatile components. The combustibility indexes of seaweeds calculated are better than that of woody biomass, and the index of Gracilaria cacalia is the best. At last, activation energies are determined using Arrhenius model that is solved by binary linear regression method.

Abstract  

Radioiodination of tri-n-butylstannyl-3-quinuclidinyl benzilate (TQNB) and N-succinimidyl-3-(tri-n-butylstannyl) benzoate (STB) was studied. STB was radiolabeled efficiently using iodogen to prepare radioactive N-succinimidyl-3- iodobenzoate (S125IB). TQNB was radioiodinated using Chloramine-T to obtain radioactive iodo-3-quinuclidinyl benzilate (125IQNB). Both S125IB and 125IQNB showed good stability at room temperature in the dark.

Abstract  

The paper is concerned with endomorphism algebras for weak Doi-Hopf modules. Under the condition “weak Hopf-Galois extensions”, we present the structure theorem of endomorphism algebras for weak Doi-Hopf modules, which extends Theorem 3.2 given by Schneider in [1]. As applications of the structure theorem, we obtain the Kreimer-Takeuchi theorem (see Theorem 1.7 in [2]) and the Nikshych duality theorem (see Theorem 3.3 in [3]) in the case of weak Hopf algebras, respectively.

Abstract  

In this paper, the Laplace inversion technique, i.e., CONTIN program, has been used to analyze the positron lifetime spectra to obtain continuous annihilation rate distribution (ARD). Two kinds of materials were studied by measuring the positron ARD. In dealuminated Y-type zeolite, five peaks were observed, and the longest component is related to o-Ps lifetime in the secondary pores. In GaAs and in InP semiconductors, the native defects were successfully identified by the difference in positron ARD shape. More evidently, when InP sample was irradiated with high energy heavy ions, the positron ARD showed difference with different irradiation dose. These results indicate that the CONTIN analysis is a good complement to the PATFIT program.

Maize seeds from inbred line Mo17, susceptible to Sugarcane mosaic virus (SCMV), were investigated for SCMV seed transmission. The seed quality significantly influenced the seed transmission rate. There were more infected seedlings derived from larger seeds than smaller seeds in both golden (G) and buff (B) seed groups, the proportion of infected seedlings in G1 was similar to G2 and B1, and significantly higher than the others (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01). While the proportion of SCMV seed transmission was higher in golden (3.9%) than buff seeds groups (2.3%), and there were significantly difference (P < 0.05) between the both colors seeds. However the percentage of infected seedlings was closely related to the location of seeds on ears, most infected seedlings were derived from seeds of the middle (Part III) and mid-base regions (Part IV), and the both parts (Parts III and IV) were significantly higher than that of Part I (P < 0.05). Fisher’s exact test indicated that the seed quality was associated significantly with the efficiency of SCMV seed transmission.

Summary

Dauricine has a variety of pharmacological properties including anti-inflammatory, anti-arrhythmic, and antihypertensive effects as well as reversing multidrug resistance (MDR) of cancer cells. While its therapeutic application is increasing, its bioavailability of different administration routes has not been studied. In the present study, we developed and validated a liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization mass spectrometry method (LC-MS/MS). Using this method, we quantified dauricine in rat plasma after administration via intravenous (i.v.) injection, per oral (p.o.), and intraperitoneal injection (i.p.). Our results indicated that this method detected plasma dauricine with a good linearity in the range of 1.95–1000.00 ng/mL (r = 0.9997). The extraction method showed an average intra- and inter-day recovery of 98.21–104.35% and 98.0–103.58%, respectively. Dauricine showed a fast absorption and widespread distribution after administration in all three tested routes. After intravenous administration (2.5, 5.0, 10.0 mg/kg), the pharmacokinetics of dauricine exhibited a first-order kinetics. In addition, dauricine showed a slow elimination with a long half-life (t 1/2z) and double peaks phenomenon following p.o. and i.p. administration. Furthermore, using area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC), we calculated absolute bioavailability, which was over twofold higher when administered via i.p. than via p.o. administration. The newly obtained information from our study will provide important reference for dauricine dose and administration route in designing dauricine therapy for applicable diseases.

Abstract  

The conductivities of binary mixtures of glycerine and water were measured at 20C by means of a transient method. The equation describing the correlation between concentration and thermal conductivity was determined. The equation can be used for determining concentrations in mixtures. The results show that (1) the error in the determination of the molar concentration of water in mixtures is less than 1%, (2) the time of measurement is 1 s, (3) this method can be used for on-line analysis in production control.

We have developed a thermogravimetric system (TG system) for condensable gas adsorption by modifying a standard thermogravimetric analyzer Cahn TG 2121 and performed isotherm measurements of water vapor adsorption on Fuji Davison type RD silica gel and ethanol vapor adsorption on Maxsorp II activated carbon. For the water vapor-silica gel data, our results compare favorably with the data reported by the manufacturer and those obtained from a volumetric method. This confirms the reliability of our TG system for adsorbents which do not swell significantly. In addition, our isotherm data also provide useful design information for the development of adsorption chillers.
