Summary
From the former Hungarian collections of the Princes Esterházy and of Count János Pállfy a greater number of Giordano paintings entered the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest. Beside that the Christian Museum Esztergom possesses several paintings of Giordano from the Capece Zurlo di San Marco collection. The paper deals with the iconography and authenticity of Justice disarmed, and Venus and Adonis. The former is an allegory on the loss of Crete in 1669 and the unjust peace between Venice and Turkey. The latter shows the influence of Cambiaso drawings. A further source of Giordanos is the former Brunswick collection. The painting Joseph and Potiphar's Wife attributed to Giuseppe Signorelli allows assuring a lost canvas painted by Giordano of the same topic. Only Desplaces has engraved it. Several paintings published in the paper were attributed to Giordano, respective to his pupils. Giordano's or his workshop's copies after Ribera were presented in a catalogue. The same was done with the copies after Giordano.

Abstract
Two paintings in the Esztergom Christian Museum purchased by Archbishop János Simor probably 1874 in Rome are attributed in this study to Cristoforo Unterperger. The paintings of the Martyrium of St. Lawrence and of the Deposition of Christ are considered to be modelli for unknown paintings by the Roman painter Cristoforo Unterperger in his mature period, in the 1780ies.
Around 1808–1810, during his time in Madrid, the Danish Ambassador Edmund Bourke may have purchased the painting of St. Bartholomew the Apostle by El Greco which later appears in the 1821 inventory of the Esterházy collection. The Scottish-born George Augustus Wallis was one of the earliest enthusiasts of El Greco; this is proven by a letter he wrote to William Buchanan in 1808, in which he describes the then-unknown Spanish master. The knee-length figure of St. Bartholomew is closely connected to the so-called Study of a Head in the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest, which is a fragment of a painting of St. Bartholomew likewise originating from a series of Apostles.
A cikk a Vas megyei Vát határában a 86-os út elkerülő szakaszának megelőző feltárásai során előkerült, 9. századi településrészletet ismerteti. A viszonylag nagy kiterjedésű, de laza szerkezetű település veremházából és kerek vagy téglalap alakú gödreiből előkerült, nagy változatosságot mutató kerámiaanyag, a fém- és csonttárgyak a lelőhelyet egy a 9. század elejére keltezhető, de az avar temetők anyagával is szoros kapcsolatot mutató leletkörhöz kapcsolják.
