The time-differential perturbed angular correlation (TDPAC) method was applied to a study on the behavior of 140Ce atoms implanted in highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG). Exponential-type gradual attenuation of the directional anisotropy
of the relevant γ-ray cascade was observed in the perturbation patterns. From temperature dependence of the relaxation rate,
a thermally activated dynamic motion of the probe atoms was suggested.

The new control system of pneumatic transportation apparatuses for neutron irradiation in Kyoto University Reactor (KUR) has
been developed based on the TCP/IP network for the purpose of integrated management of the apparatus. The control system is
comprised of PLCs, control PCs, database and web servers. Archiving logs of detailed information about irradiation enables
the secure operation and management of the irradiation system. The information stored in the server can be referred by remote
PCs and mobile phones through the internet. Combining the present facility with measurement and radiation management systems
it can realize advanced INAA methods and secure managements of radioisotopes.

Summary Using a thermal relaxation calorimetry technique, we have measured heat capacities of κ-(BEDT-TTF)4Hg2.89Br8 system under magnetic fields between 0 and 6 T. With the increase of cooling rate from room temperature to liquid helium temperature, we have observed a remarkable but systematic tendency that the thermal anomaly associated with the superconductive transition shifts to the lower temperatures. The course of this phenomenon is attributable to the degree of disorder in the mercury chains which give an incommensurate potential to the superconducting planes.
