The appearance of the compensation effect (logA=a+bE) in non-isothermal kinetics of solid-phase reactions is discussed.
An automated system of thermal analysis is described for the study of fast exothermic reactions (intensive burning, self-inflammation, transition from the non-equilibrium state to the equilibrium state, etc.). The system includes a complex of technical means for connecting the measuring instrument with the computer (hardware), and a special mathematical supply (software).
Data are presented on the properties of alkali metal and alkaline earth hydrofluorides. Melting, thermal decomposition and interaction of hydrofluorides with various classes of inorganic substances are discussed. Some regularities of changes in thermal properties within the sequences of the above hydrofluorides are established. Future directions of research in this field are outlined.
