The paper presents how the Committee on Futures Research, within Section IX. of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS), sees the possible futures for Hungary for the year 2025, based on the expertise of Hungarian futurists and social scientists, including the opinions of younger generations. It offers insight to Hungarian society in 18 years from 2007, when the research began. In cooperation with experts coming from diverse scientific backgrounds and with those who feel responsibility for the future and are willing to act upon it, we need to continue discovering our horizon albeit in a different way and to embark on new roads. In summary, we need to change the HOW and the WHAT.
The development of futures studies and the future-oriented attitude of Finnish institutions and the government can serve as great example for other countries. This attitude appears in education and economy, issues in which Finland is highly competitive in Europe. We introduce the futures studies-related organizations and the foresight system of Finland. An overview of the development of futures studies and the activities, purposes of foresight institutions, with a major emphasis on the Finland Futures Research Centre will be presented. The main question is how could other countries utilize the Finnish example? Societal changes depend on the environment and its historical background, making it quite a challenge to come up with an all-adaptable answer for this question. Thus we will only present guidelines and proposals regarding the development of strategy at the end of this paper.
Tanulmányunk célja, hogy bemutasson egy olyan interaktív előretekintési eljárást, amelyet egy kutatási alprojekt keretében kezdtünk el fejleszteni.Az interaktív előretekintés elképzelését az elméleti és a gyakorlati jövőkutatás kölcsönös kapcsolatát magában foglaló integrált jövőkutatás, a nyitott előretekintés és a nyitott innovációt megvalósító „élő laboratórium“ gondolatköréből merítettük. Felfogásunkban az interaktív előretekintés a különböző típusú résztvevők olyan élő hálózata, amely összekapcsolja a résztvevők közötti személyes és az on-line jövőformáló tevékenységeket. Ezt a koncepciót egy előretekintési esettanulmányban valósítottuk meg, amely a Közép-Magyarországi Régió KKV-inak lehetséges gazdasági jövőjének feltárásával foglalkozik. Az első eredmények azt mutatják, hogy a részt vevő KKV-k jövőorientáltsága közepes mértékű, a vállalkozók nem gondolják azt, hogy az innováció csodafegyver a gazdasági válság legyőzésében és az üzleti siker elérésében. Azt viszont határozottan megfogalmazzák, hogy az emberi erőforrás képzettségének üzleti szempontú kihasználása fontosabb, mint az innováció a KMR tudásgazdasága felé mutató jövők formálásában.Minthogy innovatív előretekintési eljárásunk új szociális technológiát képvisel, ezért annak eredményeit meg kell ismertetnünk elméleti és gyakorlati szakemberek széles körével.
