The aim of this paper is to prove that the Cesàro means of order α (0 < α < 1) of the Fourier series with respect to representative product systems converge to the function in L1-norm, only for certain values of α which depend on some parameter of the representative product system.

This paper reports an experimental study on the magnesium sulphate resistance of mortar specimens incorporating 0, 10 and
20% of metakaolin (MK). The evidence of the attack was evaluated through the content of calcium hydroxide (portlandite) and
formation of magnesium hydroxide (brucite) by thermal analysis (thermogravimetric and derivative thermogravimetric analysis).
The mechanical degradation of the mortar specimens was evaluated through splitting tensile tests after 200 days of exposition
to the magnesium solution. The addition of metakaolin resulted in a reduction in the content of calcium hydroxide and in a
smaller formation of brucite in comparison with reference mixture. A tensile strength loss of about 7% was observed for the
metakaolin mortars submitted to the magnesium solution attack for 200 days.

F(ab’)2 is the fragment involved in the immunotherapy for scorpion stings and it would be convenient to label it with 99mTc for organ distribution and pharmacokinetics studies. The aim of the present study was to label scorpion antivenom F(ab’)2 with 99mTc keeping its biological activity, integrity and stability. High labeling yield was obtained using stannous chloride and
sodium borohydride. Stability, immunoreactivity and integrity of 99mTc-F(ab’)2 was preserved. It was not observed any difference between potencies of unlabeled and labeled antivenom. 99mTc-F(ab’)2 can be a useful tool for use in biodistribution and pharmacokinetics studies on the evaluation of the efficacy of the antivenom
against scorpion envenomation.

The objective of the present study was to analyze the autonomic response of trained swimmers to traditional and reverse training periodization models. Seventeen swimmers were divided in two groups, performing a traditional periodization (TPG) or a reverse periodization (RPG) during a period of 10 weeks. Heart rate variability and 50 m swimming performance were analyzed before and after the training programs. After training, the TPG decreased the values of the high frequency band (HF), the number of differences between adjacent normal R-R intervals longer than 50 ms (NN50) and the percentage of differences between adjacent normal R-R intervals more than 50 ms (pNN50), and the RPG increased the values of HF and square root of the mean of the sum of the squared differences between adjacent normal R-R intervals (RMSSD). None of the groups improved significantly their performance in the 50-m test. The autonomic response of swimmers was different depending on the periodization performed, with the reverse periodization model leading to higher autonomic adaption. Complementary, the data suggests that autonomic adaptations were not critical for the 50-m swimming performance.
