In the present paper we give a brief review of L 1 -convergence of trigonometric series. Previous known results in this direction are improved and generalized by establishing a new condition.

Summary

To verify the universal validity of the ``two-sided'' monotonicity condition introduced in [4], we will apply it to include more classical examples. The present paper selects the L p convergence case for this purpose. Furthermore, Theorem 3 shows that our improvements are not trivial.

Abstract

By employing new ideas and techniques, we will refigure out the whole frame of L 1-approximation. First, except generalizing the coefficients from monotonicity to a wider condition, Logarithm Rest Bounded Variation condition, we will also drop the prior requirement fL 2π but directly consider the sine or cosine series. Secondly, to achieve nontrivial generalizations in complex spaces, we use a one-sided condition with some kind of balance conditions. In addition, a conjecture raised in [9] is disproved in Section 3.

II. Predictive model of radionuclide leaching behavior in a cement-based solid

Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry
Authors: X. Yang, W. Zhou, and R. Wang

Abstract

A three-dimensional leaching model was developed to describe the leaching of radionuclide from a cement-based concrete solid. The film mass transfer and interparticle diffusion were considered simultaneously. On the basis of the derived model the long-term behavior of radium-226 leaching from the waste solid has been quantitatively investigated.

The Avenin-like gene (EU096532) was cloned from Aegilops biuncialis (2n = 4X, UUMM) in our previously study, the encoded gluten protein contained 19 cysteine residues, much more than that in all other glutenin subunits characterized so far. In present study, the protein was expressed in E. coli in large scale and purified in high purity through His-binding affinity chromatography. The purified protein was simply added or incorporated into a base flour and conducted with a 2 g Mixograph in order to investigate the functional properties including mixing time (MT), peak dough resistance (PR) and breakdown in resistance (RBD). Both 10 mg and 15 mg Avenin-like protein could cause significant increases in MT and PR, and decrease in RBD, compared to the control, when incorporated into dough. But the latter showed larger effect on functional properties. Size exclusion high-performance liquid chromatography (SE-HPLC) analysis confirmed that Avenin-like protein was chemically incorporated into polymeric subunits by intermolecular disulphide bonds.

The powdery mildew resistance gene Pm2 is effective in China. Bulked segregant analysis (BSA) was used to search for microsatellite markers linked to Pm2 . Twenty-one microsatellite primer pairs located on chromosome 5DS were screened; three polymorphic loci Xcfd81 -5DS, Xgwm190 -5DS, and Xcfd18 -5DS were linked to Pm2 using an F 2 population from Chinese Spring × C114118 (with Pm2 ) consisting of 814 individuals. The genetic distances between Pm2 and the three markers were: 2.0cM, 34.2cM and 44.2cM, respectively. Microsatellite marker Xcfd81 -5DS could be used in marker assisted selection for Pm2 provided any chosen Pm2 source also carries the relevant marker.

Abstract

A microwave-assisted, continuous-flow organic synthesis (MACOS) protocol for the synthesis of functionalized 1,2,5-thiadiazepane 1,1-dioxide library, utilizing a one-pot elimination and inter-/intramolecular double aza-Michael addition strategy is reported. The optimized protocol in MACOS was utilized for scale-out and further extended for library production using a multicapillary flow reactor. A 50-member library of 1,2,5-thiadiazepane 1,1-dioxides was prepared on a 100- to 300-mg scale with overall yields between 50 and 80% and over 90 % purity determined by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR) spectroscopy.

A rapid and sensitive ultraperformance liquid chromatography-multiple reaction monitoring-multi-stage/mass spectrometry (UPLC-MRM-MS/MS) method has been developed for simultaneous quantification of salvianolic acid B and tanshinone IIA of salvia tropolone tablets in dog plasma. This was achieved by performing quantification using the MRM acquisition with two channels of MRM-MS/MS and MS full scan for more accuracy qualitative results, and the fragmentation transitions of m/z 295→249, 191 for tanshinone IIA and m/z 297→279, 251 for IS in positive mode, m/z 717→519, 321 for salvianolic acid B and m/z 295→267, 239 for IS in negative mode were selected. The UPLC separation was achieved within 3 min in a single UPLC run. Linear calibration curves were obtained over the concentration range of 10 pg/mL−1 ng/mL for tanshinone IIA and 100 pg/mL−1 for salvianolic acid B. Lower limit of quantitation (LLOQ) was 10 pg/mL and 100 pg/mL for tanshinone IIA and salvianolic acid B, respectively. The inter-day and intra-day precision (relative standard deviation, RSD) in all samples were less than 8.21%, and the recoveries were over 85.9% for both tanshinone IIA and salvianolic acid B. The two channels of MRM with MS full scan approach could provide both qualitative and quantitative results without the need for repetitive analyses and resulted in the reduction of further confirmation experiments and analytical time. The pharmacokinetic study of the two active components of salvia tropolone tablets following oral gavage administration of dogs was thus explored with this method.
