The formation of160Er,159Dy and149Gd employing natural dysprosium as target and its irradiation with α-particles was the objective of this work. This is included
in a study performed by our group on excitation functions of induced reactions for charged particles on rare earths. A target
with metallic foils of Dy was irradiated in the Isochronous Cyclotron at Karlsruhe (Germany) with incident energy up to 88.5
MeV. Due to the contributions of the precursors in the isobaric chains, we were not able to measure the absolute cross sections.
Then, the determination of the cumulative cross sections were carried out. Thick target yields for the production of160Er,159Dy and149Gd are also presented. At present we do not know other publications about the functions studied in this work.
Excitation functions for the production of155Tb,156(ml+m2+g)Tb,160Tb and161Tb by (,3pxn) reactions on natural dysprosium were experimentally determined by the method of activation of stacked metallic foils. The irradiations were performed in the extemal beam of the isochronous cyclotron at Karlsruhe (Germany) with -particles up to 88.5 MeV. Gamma-rays spectrometry with an n-type intrinsic coaxial Ge detector was used to determine the reaction product activities. The data are compared with theoretical predictions provided by equilibrium and pre-equilibrium reaction models. Thick target yields for the production of155Tb,156(ml+m2)+g)Tb,160Tb and161Tb are presented.
The chemical behaviour of the95Nb atoms formed by the beta decay of the95Zr-Alizarin S and95Zr-TTA (2-thenoyltrifluoracetone) complexes were investigated. The retention values of95Nb which not complexed with organic reagents at working pH were determined. The values observed were 100% and 80%, respectively. The results are discussed and interpreted to explain the different behaviour on the basis of internal energy values and solvent effects.
Excitation function measurements are reported for reactions induced in natural nickel with 9–86 Mev -particles. Cumulative cross sections were obtained for the production of60(m+g)Co,58(m+g)Co,57Co and56Co. The stacked-foil method was used to measure product yields by gamma-spectrometry with a Ge intrinsic detector. The experimental data (supplemented with previously reported cross sections by other authors were compared with the calculated values obtained by means of the hybrid model.
Target foil stacks of terbium were bombarded with -particles of incident energies 55 MeV. Excitation functions for the /,xn/ x=2–5 reactions were determined. On the basis of the cross sections, the thick target yields of/163–x/Ho /x=2.5/ have been evaluated. Activation and stacked-foil techniques were applied.
Excitation functions for the production of194Au,195(m+g)Au,196(m+g)Au,198mAu,195gAu and199Au were determined experimentally. In addition, the yields of thick targets of these products were calculated and a comparison between the cross sections obtained using the hybrid model of pre-equilibrium reactions in combination with the statistical model of compound nucleus is presented. The method of activation of metallic foils was employed. The irradiations were performed in the internal beam of the isochronous cyclotron at Karlsruhe (FRG) with -particles at 90 MeV. Gamma-spectrometry by means of an intrinsic Ge detector was used to determine the nuclides produced.

This paper reports the determination of absolute excitation functions and cross section ratios for the production of 110(4.9 h)/110(69 min) In and108(58 min)/108(39.6 min)In in reactions of -particles with natural silver. Target stack foils of silver were bombarded with the 55.0 MeV -particle, beam available at the Buenos Aires synchrocyclotron. The -spectrometry was used for the identification and for the determination of the absolute activity of110(4.9 h)In and110(69 min)In from107Ag/, n/ and109Ag/, 3n/ reactions and of108(58 min)In and108(39.6 min)In from107Ag/, 3n/ and109Ag/, 5n/ reactions by means of Ge intrinsic detector.

Excitation functions have been measured for yields of In isotopes in the reactions107Ag(, xn)111–xIn and109Ag(, xn)113–xIn for x=1–5. The alpha particle bombardment of natural silver, the stacked foil technique for irradiation and semiconductor gamma-spectrometry for measurements were used.

A stack of natural samarium was bombarded with 87 MeV -particles. Cumulative cross sections for the production of145Eu,146Eu,147Eu,148Eu,150Eu,152Eu and154Eu have been studied using gamma-ray spectroscopy. The data are compared with the theoretical results provided by equilibrium and pre-equilibrium reaction models, for this purpose we used the code ALICE of Blann.
