It has been suggested that literary history focused on reception can resolve the tension between aesthetic and historical criteria, especially if we concede that the concept of originality is deeply unstable and has both historical and aesthetic implications. The turn from impact to reception can be seen as a consequence of the fact that the ideal of the immanence of the self-contained work of art has fallen into disrepute. It is quite possible that a national literature does not lend itself as a subject to narrative history, just as the identity of an author's output or the continuity of the history of a genre can be questioned.
Lectins, the carbohydrate binding proteins, have emerged as indispensable biological tools in the last decade. Research contibutions covering the period 1954–1982 on different aspects of lectins were collected since the introduction of the term Lectin in 1954. In the present communication we have made a bibliometric analysis of the growth of the literature on lectins, the trend of authorship of papers on lectins, and scattering phenomena. We have also identified the main international channels of communication of the results of lectin research.

The purpose of this study is to map semiconductor literature by author co-citation analysis in order to highlight major subject
specializations in semiconductors and identify authors and their relationships within these specialties and within the field.
Forty-six of the most productive authors were included in the sample list. Author samples were gathered from the INSPEC database
from 1978 to 1997. The relatively low author co-citation frequencies indicate that there is a low connection among authors
who publish in semiconductor journals and big differences among authors' research areas. Six sets of authors with co-citation
greater than 100 times are M. Cardona and G. Lucovsky; T. Ito and K. Kobayashi; M. Cardona and G. Abstreiter; A. Y. Cho and
H. Morkoc; C. R. Abernathy and W. S. Hobson; H. Morkoc and I. Akasaki. The Pearson correlation coefficient of author co-citation
varies widely, i.e., from -0.17 to 0.92. This shows that some authors with high positive correlations are related in certain
ways and co-cited, while other authors with high negative correlations may be rarely or never related and co-cited. Cluster
analysis and multi-dimensional scaling are employed to create two-dimensional maps of author relationships in the cross-citation
networks. It is found that the authors fall fairly clearly into three clusters. The first cluster covers authors in physics
and its applications. The authors in the second group are experts in electrical and electronic engineering. The third group
includes specialists in materials science. Because of its interdisciplinary nature and diverse subjects, semiconductor literature
lacks a strong group of core authors. The field consists of several specialties around a weak center.

Anglo-American and French, as well as German, Spanish and Hungarian variations to “Law and Literature” are surveyed for that as to the nature of the discipline some conclusions can be formulated. Accordingly, “Law and Literature” recalls that which is infinite in fallibility and which is not transparent in its simplicity, that is, the situation confronted that we may not avoid deciding about despite the fact that we may not get to a final understanding. What is said thereby is that “Law and Literature” is just a life-substitute. Like an artificial ersatz, it helps one to see out from what he/she cannot surpass. What it is all about is perhaps not simply bridging the gap between the law’s proposition and the case of law, with unavoidable tensions confronting the general and the individual, as well as the abstract and the concrete. Instead, it is more about live meditation, professional methodicalness stepped back in order to gain further perspectives and renewed reflection from a distance, so that the underlying reason for the legal (and especially judicial) profession can be recurrently rethought. In a fictional form, literature is the symbol and synonym of reflected life, a field where genuine human fates can be represented. Thereby, at the same time it is a substitute for theology, rooted in earthly existence as a supply to foster feeling kinds of, or substitutes to, transcendence.
If perceived from a thematic perspective, Contemporary Chinese fiction harbors a variety of political dimensions. To subvert
the conventions of socialist realism, many works in the 1980s joined to affirm the Party’s reform policies, but writers today
seem to be keen on the status quo resulting from the economic reform. The fiction of the new century has fully recovered from
the sentimental retrospection and naïve, simplistic socialist realism in the decades following the end of the Cultural Revolution.
The main characteristic of Chinese fiction in the twenty-first century is its sheer diversity featured by various thematic
concerns. Examples of novels can be identified that address issues of globalization, hi-tech, urbanization, marketing economy,
internet and poverty and their impact upon the lowly common Chinese such as the disadvantaged rural farmers. This turn to
reality gives rise to a burgeoning ecological awareness in Chinese literature. Writers in the new century have diverged from
the conventional way to sing along with or speak for the dominant ideology of the economic reform as many did during Deng
Xiaoping’s time. They have shifted their attention to the shaded side of contemporary China, writing about the marginalized
and reflecting on the social issues that accompany the existing social order. Efforts have been made to explore specific national
and regional identities, displaying a reengagement with a realist tradition. It is argued that more and more Chinese, having
felt distressed by increasing evidence of environmental deterioration, are now becoming conscious of environmental issues
and speaking out about their concerns. This paper then attempts to examine how contemporary Chinese writers contemplate the
consequences of China’s explosive capitalist growth and environmental issues in order to fashion their greening dimensions.
The purpose of this study is to map semiconductor literature using journal co-citation analysis. The journal sample was gathered
from the INSPEC database from 1978 to 1997. In the co-citation analysis, the data compiled were counts of the number of times
two journal titles were jointly cited in later publications. It is assumed that the more two journals are cited together,
the closer the relationship between them. The journal set used was the 30 most productive journals in the field of semiconductors.
Counts of co-citations to the set of semiconductor journals were retrieved from SciSearch database, accessed through Dialog.
Cluster analysis and multi-dimensional scaling were employed to create two-dimensional maps of journal relationships in the
cross-citation networks. The following results were obtained through this co-citation study: The 30 journals fall fairly clearly
into three clusters. The major cluster of journals, containing 17 titles, is in the subject of physics. The second cluster,
consisting of 9 journals, includes journals primarily on material science. The remaining cluster represents research areas
in the discipline of electrical and electronic engineering. All co-cited journals share similar co-citation profiles, reflected
in high positive Pearson correlation. Two hundred and ninety-six pairs (68%) correlate at greater than 0.70. This shows that
there is strong relationship between semiconductor journals. Five individual journals in five paired sets with co-citation
frequency over 100,000 times include Physical Review B, Condensed Matter; Physical Review Letters; Applied Physics Letters; Journal of Applied Physics; and Solid State Communications.
