Abstract

To assess the historical and sociological significance of the cold fusion saga, researchers need accurate information about the dates of various events associated with the saga. Based on materials in the Cornell Cold Fusion Archive, this article provides both a chronology and citations to documentary evidence for cold fusion events from 1926 to the end of 1990.

an inquiry into the thermodynamics of these compounds, we encountered a distinct lack of melting points and fusion enthalpies for many PAC. Peters et al. [ 1 ] also note this shortage of fusion enthalpies for PAC in the literature; this dearth of data

Abstract

We discuss the effect of the break-up of weakly bound nuclei on the fusion cross section of these projectiles with light, medium and heavy mass targets, at energies close to the Coulomb barrier. The discussion is based mostly on data obtained by our group in collaborative experiments. We also show that the break-up process at near and sub-barrier energies is responsible for the vanishing of the usual threshold anomaly of the optical potential.

Abstract

The possibilities for cold nuclear fusion in an electrochemical cell are discussed. It is suggested that the cold nuclear fusion can be triggered by rising the dielectric constant of the cathode material around a value of 20.

Introduction One of most important physical properties is the enthalpy of fusion at normal melting point ( ). The property is defined as the enthalpy change in the transition from the most stable form of solid to liquid state

Abstract

An investigation of cold fusion of deuterium was performed by electrolyzing heavy water in a cell containing a palladium cathode while monitoring levels of tritium and neutron-capture gamma rays. No activity was detected that would indicate a sustained fusion reaction had taken place. Activities that were observed can be attributed to electrolytic enrichment and a normal cosmic-ray induced background.

Abstract

Cross correlations as a function of timeshift between -emissions and electrolysis cell temperature, in a cold fusion experiment by Birgül et al. are calculated and show a distinct maximum of 0.34.
