The chromatographic separation of fenbufen, ibuprofen, ketoprofen, diclofenac sodium, mefenamic acid, and tiaprofenic acid has been investigated. Normal-phase chromatography on silica gel by the ascending and horizontal techniques, and reversed-phase chromatography on octadecyl-bonded silica gel (RP-18) in horizontal chambers, were performed with suitable mobile phases. The substances were identified by UV illumination at λ = 254 nm and by use of dyeing reagents. Reversed phase chromatography with phosphate buffer, pH 5.73–10% CTMA-Br in methanol, 3.5 + 6.5 ( v/v ), as mobile phase enabled better separation of the six drugs than normal-phase mode. A simple videodensitometric TLC method on silica gel RP-18 was developed and validated for quantitative determination of fenbufen in tablets. The limits of detection and quantification were determined by videodensitometry at λ = 254 nm. A calibration plot was constructed in the range 2.0–12.0 μg/5-μL spot and was linear with a good correlation coefficient (0.9926). RSD for quantitation of fenbufen were from 2.44 to 3.10%. The method was applied satisfactorily to pharmaceutical preparations.

Abstract  

New metal(II) complexes with empirical formulae Co(ibup)2·4H2O, Cd(ibup)2·3H2O, Co(nap)2·H2O, Cd(nap)2·3H2O (where ibup=(CH3)2CHCH2C6H4CH(CH3COO) and nap=CH3O(C10H6)CH(CH3COO)) were isolated and investigated. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, IR spectroscopy and thermal decomposition. The thermal behavior was studied by TG, DTG, DTA methods under non-isothermal conditions in air atmosphere. The hydrated complexes lose water molecules in first step. All complexes decompose via intermediate products to corresponding metal oxides CoO and CdO. A coupled TG-MS system was used to detect the principal volatile products of thermolysis and fragmentation processes of Co(nap)2·H2O. The IR spectra of studied complexes revealed also absorption of the carboxylate group. Principal concern with the position of asymmetric, symmetric frequencies. The value of their separation allow to deduce about type of coordination these groups.

A nem szteroid gyulladásgátlók néhány eddigi tanulmányban eredményesnek tűntek a poszt-ERCP-s pancreatitis incidenciájának csökkentésében, de az eredmények további megerősítésre szorulnak. Célkitűzés: Rectalis indometacin hatásosságának megítélése az ERCP-t követő pancreatitis gyakoriságának csökkentésében. Módszer: Prospektív, randomizált, placebokontrollált tanulmány. Kétszázhuszonnyolc beteg ERCP előtt 10 perccel randomizáltan kapott 100 mg indometacint vagy placebokúpot. A pancreatitis értékelése a klinikai tünetek és a 24 órás szérumamilázszintek alapján történt. Eredmények: Sem a pancreatitis, sem a hyperamylasaemia gyakoriságában nem volt szignifikáns különbség a két vizsgálati csoport között, jóllehet, az indometacint kapottak közt jóval ritkábban fordult elő pancreatitis, különösen nők, 60 év felettiek és 25-nél kisebb BMI esetén. E tendencia egyáltalán nem érvényesült pancreasvezeték-töltés és pancreas-EST esetén. Következtetések: Az eredmények statisztikailag nem erősítik meg, hogy a rectalisan adott indometacin csökkenti a poszt-ERCP-s pancreatitis gyakoriságát, de az észlelt tendencia az indometacin preventív hatása mellett szólhat.
