Az „Iskoláskorú gyermekek egészségmagatartása” (Health Behaviour in School-aged Children, HBSC) kutatás 1985 óta folyik hazánkban, nemzetközi keretben. Célja a 11–17 éves korosztály egészséget befolyásoló szokásainak és szubjektív egészségi állapotának feltérképezése, ezek időbeli és nemzetközi trendjeinek követése és a magatartásokat, egészségi mutatókat befolyásoló tényezők felderítése, működési mechanizmusaik vizsgálata.
Tanulmányunkban bemutatjuk néhány, egészséget támogató (táplálkozás, fizikai aktivitás), illetve kockázati magatartásforma (dohányzás, alkoholfogyasztás, szexuális élet) jellegzetes változásait a 2000-es évektől kezdődően. Eredményeinket nemzetközi szinten is értelmezzük.
