A tanulmányban széles forráskör alapján személyükre, születésükre, származásukra alapozva és emlékezetükre koncentrálva rendezzük azon Nobel-díjasok legfontosabb adatait, akiket közvetlen vagy tágabb családi kapcsolatok révén magyar, magyar születésű, illetve magyar származású Nobel-díjasként tisztelünk. Bemutatjuk azt is, hogy ennek a tiszteletnek milyen sok formája alakult ki és él tovább a magyar társadalom különböző szellemi és fizikai színterein. Mindezek egyszerre jelentik a díjazottak és a tudomány megbecsülését, amelyet ezúton is meg kívánunk erősíteni.

Based on a wide range of sources, this study will organize the most important data on Nobel laureates who, through direct or extended family ties, have been honoured as Hungarian, Hungarian-born, or Hungarian-descended Nobel laureates based on their person, birth, origin, and memory. We also show how many forms of this honour have developed and continue to exist in the various intellectual and physical arenas of Hungarian society. All this is a tribute to both the laureates and science, which we wish to reinforce.
