The 13th Conference of the Hungarian Medical Association of America – Hungary Chapter (HMAA-HC) was held in Balatonfüred, Hungary at the end of August, 2019. During the conference the Hungarian student scientists and young physicians (more than 100 participants) had the possibilities to hear interesting lectures held by their past and current year-mates, and to establish personal contacts with physicians doing research in hospitals and clinics in Hungary and United States, as well. The conference was an excellent platform for the exchange of clinical and scientific knowledge in medicine. There was a multidisciplinary session in health sciences, which was introduced by an honorary lecture on the history of cataract surgery by Professor Zoltán Zsolt Nagy (Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Director of Department of Ophthalmology, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary). Then mentored students from the Faculty of Health Sciences gave oral presentations followed by lively discussions.
