Bevezetés: A zigozitásbeli különbségek dohányfüst-expozíció terén még ismeretlenek ikrekben. Cél: Az aktív és passzív dohányzásbeli tulajdonságok felmérése ikrekben. Módszer: A vizsgálatban 151 egypetéjű és 62 kétpetéjű magyar és amerikai felnőtt ikerpár (életkor 43,8±16,5 év, átlag±SD) vett részt. Eredmények: Az egypetéjű ikrek 1,8 évvel korábban kezdtek dohányozni, mint a kétpetéjűek (p = 0,08). A kétpetéjűek hosszabb ideig dohányoztak (p<0,01) és több szülői dohányfüst-expozíciót szenvedtek el gyerekkorukban (p<0,05). Az egypetéjű ikrek szigorúbb dohányzási szabályokról számoltak be otthonukban és munkahelyükön (p<0,005), s kevesebb dohányfüst érte őket a beltéri közhelyeken (p<0,01). Az egypetéjű ikrek 85,7%-a dohányzott vagy dohányzik, míg a kétpetéjűek csupán 69,5%-a (p<0,01). Az egypetéjű ikrek kevésbé érzékenyek az éttermi és kávézóbeli dohányfüst-szennyezettségre egy önbecslő kérdőív szerint, mint a kétpetéjűek (p<0,05), amely különbség nem volt megfigyelhető a bárokkal, kocsmákkal és közlekedési eszközökkel kapcsolatosan. Következtetések: Eltérő pszichológiai családi orientáció lehet jelen az ikrek zigozitásától függően. Preventív szülői gondviselés szükséges a dohányfüstnek kitett ikercsaládokban. Orv.
