What motivates smoking and alcohol drinking of young people? A behavioural epidemiologic study

Bevezetés: A serdülőkor a káros szenvedélyt okozó szerek kipróbálásának időszaka. A prevencióhoz segítséget nyújthat a fiatalok motivációinak ismerete. Célkitűzés: A szerzők középiskolás fiatalok dohányzással és alkoholfogyasztással kapcsolatos motivációinak vizsgálatát tűzték ki célul. Módszer: Kérdőíves adatfelvételre Debrecenben négy középiskola tanulóinak bevonásával került sor (n = 501; életkor: 14–22 év között; átlagéletkor 16,4 év; 34% fiú és 66% lány). A leíró statisztikán túl logisztikus regresszióelemzéssel állapították meg a szerfogyasztás és a motivációk közötti összefüggéseket jelző esélyhányadosokat. Eredmények: Nemenként alig, szerfogyasztási státus szerint viszont jelentős különbségek voltak a motivációs struktúrában. Az alkoholfogyasztás esetében a társas motiváció bizonyult prediktornak. A cigaretta esetében azonban nemcsak a társas hatások szerepe igazolódott, hanem az unaloműzés és az érzelmi reguláció (coping) jelentősége is. Következtetések: Az eredmények azt sugallják, hogy a fiatalok társas környezetben, kortársaik hatására kezdenek el cigarettázni és alkoholt fogyasztani. A prevenciós stratégiáknak ezért elsősorban a szociális készségek fejlesztésére kell épülniük. Orv. Hetil., 2014, 155(3), 100–105.
