Az emlőtumor nyelőcső szűkületét okozó áttéte a viszonylagos ritkasága, nehéz felismerhetősége és vizsgálatokkal való nehéz kimutathatósága miatt jelentős diagnosztikus és terápiás kihívást jelent. Esetünkben a primer daganat kezelését követően 19 évvel jelentkező, lassú progressziójú dysphagia kivizsgálása megtévesztő eredményt produkált. A benignus folyamatnak tartott szűkület tágító kezelése kapcsán kialakult perforációs szövődmény miatt a nyelőcső transhiatalis exstirpatiójára kényszerültünk. Az eltávolított nyelőcső pótlását egy ülésben, ortotopikus úton felvitt csőgyomorral végeztük. Kezelési taktikánk, kényszerűségből, több ponton eltért a rutinszerű eljárási rendünktől, de a beteg gyógyulását eredményezte. Az eltávolított anyag szövettani vizsgálata derítette ki a valódi kórokot, az emlőtumor körkörös és közel teljes elzáródást okozó mediastinalis metastasisát. Orv Hetil. 2022; 163(24): 961–966.
